No Gi / MMA

No Gi focuses on learning and applying all the effectiveness and versatility of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the traditional Gi (uniform). No Gi training is very similar to Jiu-Jitsu and is built on all the same principals. The participants do not wear the traditional kimono; therefore, the techniques are slightly modified to accommodate inability to hold the opponents by their clothing. The training much like Jiu-Jitsu concentrates on ground control and submission. The No Gi/Submission classes are open to all ranks, but a good foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu technique is strongly recommended.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills. A mixture of martial arts and non-martial arts traditions will be used in competitions. MMA includes the use of both striking as well as grappling techniques, both while standing and on the ground. Our MMA class teaches a wide variety of fighting techniques and skills from different disciplines of martial arts, including Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, and much more. Whether you are looking to compete in the cage or just looking to have a great workout, our MMA class will definitely bring your martial arts skills to a brand new level!
